Wednesday, June 26, 2024


    • Arrival Date
    • Registration Open -1:00pm-4:00pm at the Marriott Hotel.
    • If you’re flying into Louisville we can pick you up. Just fill out the Airline information on the Home Page.
    • Check out the places that are within walking distance.
    • On your own for Dinner
    • Attire for the entire Orientation – Business Casual for all functions including Churchill Downs and The Stephen Foster Story (no jeans, no formals, tuxes, ties, or jackets.  Shorts are permissible for the Stephen Foster Story)

    • Arrival Date
    • Registration Open  – 8:00am – 6:00pm at the Marriott Hotel.
    • 9:00am – 11:00am – General Grand Chapter Officer Installation and Closing Practice
    • 10:00 am – Visit the Rob Morris Home and Grave site Monument (Ticket Required)
    • 3:00 pm – Visit Churchill Downs and enjoy Horse Racing! Where they say “The Greatest 2 Minutes in Sports” happens the  first Saturday in May each year at the Kentucky Derby – Run for the Roses! (Ticket Required)
    • Several other places to visit within walking distance from the Marriott and the Hyatt Regency.

        • Frazier Bourbon Museum
        • Muhammad Ali Museum
        • 4th Street Live – Several Restaurants, Sports Bars and Live Music

    • 9:15am – 10:00am – Guest Speaker
    • 10:00am –  11:30am – Breakout Sessions – Escorts, Tri-Line, Ambassadors, and the following Committees – Alzheimer’s, Appeals and Grievances, Benevolence (Disaster Relief), ByLaws, Cancer, Celebrations in Washington DC, Charters
    • Lunch – 11:30am – 12:30 pm (included in Registration Fee) – A Time to “Imagine”
    • 1:00pm – 2:30pm – Breakout Sessions – for the following Committees: Community Service, Credentials, Distribution, Eastern Star Journal, ESTARL, Educational, Heart, Jurisprudence, Landmarks, Public Relations
    • 3:00pm – 4:30pm – Breakout Sessions – for the following Committees: Membership, Necrology, Regenerative Medicine, Registration, Ritual, Service Dogs, Triennial Assembly, Unfinished Business, Youth, Special Appointments & Star Chasers
    • 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm – Happy Hour and GGC Candidate Meet & Greet
    • 6:30 pm – Banquet – “The Kentucky Experience” – (included in Registration Fee) – Featuring Bluegrass Music by The Bibelhauser Brothers and a “Bourbon Experience” By Bernie Lubbers, The Whiskey Professor

    • 11:00am – 1:00pm – General Grand Chapter School of Instruction – (Tri-Line encouraged to attend; DUES CARD REQUIRED)
    • 11:00am  – Explore Louisville – this is Free Time for those not in the School of Instruction
